Arc Physical Vapor Deposition Coating
The Future of Ultra-Precision Coating, Arc PVD
SP Heat Treatment delivers unmatched wear resistance
Arc PVD (Arc Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is an advanced technology that ionizes metals through arc discharge in a vacuum, combines them with reactive gases to form a high-hardness thin film on surfaces. It provides strong adhesion to the base material, excellent wear resistance, and oxidation resistance, dramatically enhancing the performance of cutting tools, molds, and precision parts.
Unlike conventional plating methods, PVD coating applies a thin, hard film to metal surfaces at an atomic level. The Arc method, in particular, utilizes high-energy ions to improve film adhesion and hardness, and can form various multi-composite coating layers based on TiN, TiAlN, CrN, DLC, etc. These coating layers simultaneously satisfy high hardness (HV 2000~8000 level), oxidation resistance, improved friction coefficient, and aesthetic appearance.
SP HEAT TREATMENT is equipped with precise deposition equipment and multi-layer coating facilities, allowing us to provide customized coating solutions according to customer requirements. It is applicable to various industrial fields, including high-temperature molds, cutting tools, punches, metal cutting blades, and medical devices, and we manage the entire process from pre- and post-coating heat treatment to surface treatment.
Arc PVD coating is an innovative technology that effectively complements surface issues that cannot be resolved by conventional heat treatment alone, dramatically increasing Tool life. SP HEAT TREATMENT's Arc PVD coating redefines the 'standard of durability.'
