Nitriding is a heat treatment technology that diffuses nitrogen into a metal surface to form a nitrided layer with high hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. SP HEAT TREATMENT provides customized nitriding services to meet customer requirements through various nitriding methods, including gas nitriding, plasma (ion) nitriding, and salt bath nitriding.

Because nitriding is performed at low temperatures, it results in minimal product distortion and forms a very hard hardened layer (white layer and nitrogen diffusion layer) on the surface, making it highly suitable for high-precision molds, gears, shafts, bearings, and more. Furthermore, the nitrided layer offers superior corrosion resistance and fatigue strength compared to the base metal, significantly contributing to extended product life and improved durability.

SP HEAT TREATMENT systematically manages the entire process, from surface roughness and pre-treatment before heat treatment to cooling and surface finishing after nitriding. We provide highly complete results by sharing quality data, such as nitrided layer depth, hardness distribution, and surface roughness, with our customers.
